Keiko Harada - Interior Designer
I love things that are modern, contemporary and clean; that perfect balance of function and beauty.
In the past twelve or so years, I’ve designed no less than 300 near high end kitchens and bathrooms, and many complete interiors. The details that make a space beautiful, the details that make a space work and the details that make a space interesting are what is important to me. I find design inspirations from everywhere...arts, music, nature, fashion and food.
I stay current with the latest material fabricators, furniture designers, lighting creators and stone suppliers. You can usually find me at Salone del Mobile in Milan every April reviewing the latest products and meeting with designers, manufacturers and suppliers.
I lived in Milan for a few years; working for Lissoni Associati, getting a Masters Degree in Interior Design from Scuola Politecnica di Design.
Within modern and contemporary design, I fuse and borrow from the pallets of my three environments, Japan, Italy and Los Angeles, to deliver designs that are clean, calm, beautiful and fresh.
I also have a design degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles and an additional degree from Doshisha University in Kyoto Japan.
Before opening my own studio I spent ten years as the senior designer at Boffi Los Angeles.
Next time you're at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, check out their beautiful kitchen, I did that one too!
Studio Keiko is my design firm. A place to get the designs you want to come home to!
